Job Title: Development Assistant

Reports To: Manager of Individual Giving & Donor Engagement

FLSA Status: Part Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Rate: $20.00/hour

Schedule: 20 hours/week, hybrid

SUMMARY:

The Development department at the Ogunquit Playhouse seeks a Development Assistant to join their team of highly motivated and supportive Development professionals. The Development Assistant will play an integral role in supporting the organization’s fundraising, membership, and donor engagement goals. The Development Assistant will have impeccable attention to detail, a positive attitude, and curiosity and eagerness to learn. Among other responsibilities, this individual will provide administrative support for all Development activities, assist with event logistics, and participate in managing the annual Online Holiday Auction.



ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide administrative support for membership processing, including but not limited to: acquisitions and renewals, donor acknowledgements, benefits packets, and recognition programs and mailings

• Accurately record contributions, memberships, and pledges to the database

• Send and track pledge payment reminders

• Manage the annual Online Holiday Auction in collaboration with the Manager of Individual Giving & Donor Engagement / Manager of Campaigns & Special Projects

• Process payment requests, check requests and expense reports

• Update and maintain donor program names for playbills and web listings

• Update and maintain donor cultivation process in database

• Provide assistance with fundraising and engagement events including invite management, RSVP tracking, and more

• Utilize the database to extract data and produce reports

• Assist with maintaining donor records, data entry and data cleanup

• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Development department’s goals

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail

• Ability to think proactively, prioritize work, and meet strict deadlines

• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

• A proactive approach to problem solving and strong decision making skills

• Effective communication skills (writing, speaking, and listening)

• Proficient with office management systems and MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Ability to work with and learn new databases

• Experience with customer service/donor service applications preferred, experience with Tessitura a plus

• Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information

EDUCATION:

• High school degree required, college degree preferred

• Experience in a nonprofit or arts organization settings is a plus


Salary: $20/hour
