Community Engagement Coordinator - Wilma Theater

LISTING INFORMATION

The Wilma Theater is seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Engagement Coordinator for its production of "The Good Person of Setzuan" directed by Justin Jain.



The Position reports to Artistic Director, Morgan Green.



This unique role focuses on engaging with the AAPI community and fostering meaningful connections in the greater Philadelphia area, culminating in audience engagement event(s) at the theater. The Community Engagement Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our theater production resonates with and includes the voices and perspectives of the AAPI community by connecting with community groups about the project, addressing questions and concerns, and extending invitations to guests.







Duties and Functions



-Attending Weekly Marketing meetings and working closely with this department



-Attending some rehearsals and working closely with the director of the production, Justin Jain



-Outreach to the AAPI audience



-Creating social media content, additional written materials to help contextualize the work



-Attend previews, opening night, and several additional performances of the production, especially when there is an ancillary event



-Build partnerships with local businesses and organizations relevant to the production











Position Qualifications



The ideal candidate is proficient in remote-work software and systems, Microsoft 365, Google Docs, and Zoom. They may also need to collaborate with the Marketing Department in Mondays.com







Compensation and Benefits



This is an independent contractor role with compensation of $3,000 paid in three installments.



Time commitment would average 10 hours/week until April 27, 2024.







Hybrid Work Environment

Due to Covid-19, much of the Wilma administrative staff is conducted in a hybrid environment of remote and in-person work, dependent upon role function and responsibilities. In consultation with your supervisor, it may be determined that some administrative aspects of your role may be performed remotely.

Some night and weekend work will be required.





COVID-19 Vaccine Policy

The Wilma Theater strongly recommends all employees, whose work requires their physical presence on-site at spaces managed and operated by The Wilma Theater, to be fully vaccinated and up to date with the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna (bivalent) vaccine. Being “fully vaccinated” and “up to date” as defined by the CDC, is more than 14 calendar days following receipt of a final dose of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or World Health Organization (WHO) authorized vaccine.
