Review: Mrs. GREEN APPLE Concludes “ZENJIN MITO TO IM/MUTABLE” at Japan National Stadium
The band became the first in history to perform four shows at Japan National Stadium.
Three-piece band Mrs. GREEN APPLE, consisting of Motoki Ohmori (Vocals/Guitar), Hiroto Wakai (Guitar), and Ryoka Fujisawa (Keyboard), launched their stadium tour, “ZENJIN MITO TO IM/MUTABLE,” in April 2026. The tour visited Japan National Stadium in April and July and Yanmar Stadium Nagai in May, featuring hit songs including “KUSUSHIKI,” “Lilac,” and “Darling.” Across all performances, the tour attracted a total of 390,000 fans. The tour also made Mrs. GREEN APPLE the first band in history to perform four shows at Japan National Stadium, while spectacular productions, including 4,500 fireworks, created an unforgettable concert experience.
The tour’s final performance, held on July 5 at Japan National Stadium, was streamed live across 15 online platforms. Live viewings were also held at more than 360 movie theaters throughout Japan, as well as in South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand, in addition to karaoke viewing events. Including those in attendance at the venue, approximately 250,000 people experienced the grand finale together.

As the countdown video reached zero, Motoki, Hiroto, and Ryoka rose from beneath the center of the stage to a thunderous welcome. Smiling, the trio waved to the sea of JAM’S filling the stadium. Hiroto launched into the opening guitar riff of “Magic,” prompting Motoki to shout, “Zenjin!” as towering pyrotechnics erupted across the stage. Listening to the audience’s massive singalong, Motoki called out, “I love you!” before asking, “Are you ready to receive our love?” sending the excitement soaring from the very first song.
The energy continued with “I’m Invincible (私は最強),” where Motoki showcased his soaring high notes from the opening lines. Silver streamers burst across the stadium during the chorus while Ryoka performed with an infectious smile, further raising the atmosphere early in the show.
During the first talking transition, Motoki greeted the audience with, “We’re Mrs. GREEN APPLE. Welcome to Zenjin Mito to Immutable! It’s the final show!” He continued, “We have live viewings and livestreams today. This has to be the hottest place in the world.” His words drew an enormous roar from the crowd. Ryoka added with a smile, “I’ve been looking forward to seeing you all. Have you been excited for today?” expressing his joy at reaching the tour’s final day.
As the band transitioned to “familie,” Motoki asked, “Can I come over there?” before making his way onto the runway surrounding the arena. Singing while looking toward every section of the stadium, he made sure fans in the stands felt just as included as those near the main stage.
He then arrived at the end stage for “Carrying Happiness.” Encouraging the audience to clap along with the upbeat rhythm, Motoki shouted, “Let’s go!” as massive water cannons drenched the arena from every direction, creating a refreshing midsummer spectacle that drew cheers from the crowd.
Following solo showcases from Hiroto, Ryoka, and Motoki, night had fully fallen over the stadium as the concert entered its second half. Bathed in crimson lighting while lasers and flames cut through the darkness, the band launched into “KUSUSHIKI.” The dramatic staging perfectly complemented the song’s mysterious yet grand atmosphere.
The intensity continued with “Loneliness,” where towering columns of water and fire shot high above Japan National Stadium. Delivering the song with raw emotion, Motoki’s powerful vocals pulled the audience deep into its world.
The mood then shifted completely as Ryoka’s delicate piano introduced “Bokuno Koto.” Motoki sang with heartfelt sincerity, as though speaking directly to each individual in the audience. His emotional performance moved many fans to tears.
When Hiroto played the instantly recognizable opening guitar phrase of “Lilac,” the stadium erupted in anticipation. In the midst of the stripped-down bridge, tens of thousands of JAM’S joined together in a massive singalong. Hiroto and Ryoka added their voices during the final chorus, creating one of the night’s most unforgettable moments as the band and audience became one.
“lulu.” showcased Motoki’s remarkable vocal power and delicate expressiveness. Bathed in vivid green lighting, the stadium was transformed into a dreamlike landscape, enhanced by immersive visuals and camera work that perfectly complemented the song’s atmosphere.
During the next talk segment, the band announced that the concert was being shown not only via online streaming and at more than 360 movie theaters and karaoke venues across Japan, but also through live viewings in several Asian territories, including South Korea, Taiwan, and more. They also revealed that “Brand New,” the Japanese theme song for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, would be released, and announced that the title of their upcoming album had officially been decided, prompting enthusiastic applause from the audience.
For the performances of “Columbus” and “GOOD DAY,” Hiroto and Ryoka each took to opposite runways with their instruments, circling the stadium while waving and making eye contact with fans seated throughout the stands. When Motoki called out, “Let’s go as far as we can together… forever!” the stadium responded with one of the loudest cheers of the night. Green streamers floated through the air as the band and JAM’S shared another unforgettable moment together.
The main set concluded with “Darling.” Guided by Ryoka’s gentle piano, Motoki delivered the song with deep emotion. During the instrumental break, Hiroto looked up toward the night sky as he played his guitar. As the song reached its final chorus, brilliant white fireworks erupted from the roof of Japan National Stadium. The breathtaking combination of music and fireworks brought the main set to a moving close amid thunderous applause.
For the encore, the three members returned wearing individually customized tour T-shirts. Motoki expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m truly blessed,” before reflecting on Phase 3, which began with the theme of “cherishing where we are now.” While speaking about how grateful he was to have people to both receive and share their energy with, he added, “There are still so many things we want to achieve. But rather than doing it on our own, we want to build those dreams together with everyone who continues to stay by our side every day,” honestly sharing his hopes of moving forward alongside JAM’S.
The concert closed with “Que Sera Sera.” As soon as the intro began, JAM’S instinctively started singing. Smiling with obvious delight, Motoki paused to listen to the voices filling the stadium. The audience’s singalong continued seamlessly through the second verse, and Motoki placed a hand on his chest, appearing to hold back tears. During the final chorus, Ryoka was also seen wiping away tears, revealing how deeply each member was moved by the culmination of the tour.
A spectacular display of colorful fireworks illuminated the Tokyo night sky as the nearly three-month stadium tour came to a dazzling conclusion.
What stood out most throughout the evening was the way the three members constantly exchanged smiles and repeatedly expressed their love and gratitude toward JAM’S during the talk segments. Between songs, fans called each member’s name from every corner of the stadium, and the trio answered with warm smiles. Filling Japan National Stadium entirely with fan club members while simultaneously sharing the final performance with approximately 250,000 people across the venue, livestreams, and live viewings, Mrs. GREEN APPLE once again proved the extraordinary popularity and remarkable live performance ability that have made them one of Japan’s biggest bands today.
