MACBETH ON THE EQUATOR at New National Theatre

MACBETH ON THE EQUATOR is now playing at the New National Theatre! Originally performed in Korean in 2010, this is a new translation, being performed in Japan for the first time! Written by CHONG Wishing, the play is set in Singapore's Changi Prison in 1947, and follows former Japanese Soldiers who were once imprisoned as war criminals. MACBETH ON THE EQUATOR opened on March 6th and will run through March 25th.
MACBETH ON THE EQUATOR is written and directed by CHONG Wishing, and features the talents of IKEUCHI Hiroyuki, ASANO Masahiro, ONOUE Hiroyuki, MARUYAMA Atsundo, KIZU Masayuki, CHO Yonho, IWAO Kaishi, NAKANISHI Ryosuke, and HIRATA Mitsuru.
