Universal Studios Japan is celebrating its 25th anniversary with its summer event, “Universal Cool Summer – Discover U!!!”. For summer 2026, the park is introducing an all-new lineup of nighttime entertainment, inviting guests of all ages to enjoy the season from day to night. Running from July 1 through August 26, the limited-time event will feature the debut of “Universal Summer Matsuri Nights: Neon Glow Up.”
As the sun sets, the park transforms into a vibrant festival atmosphere illuminated by colorful neon lights. Guests can experience the brand-new nighttime show “NO LIMIT! Glow Up Oh-Matsuri” along with a variety of new street performances presented as part of “Glow Up Street Performance.” Bringing energy and excitement to summer evenings, the event offers a unique way to experience the park and celebrate its 25th anniversary with a completely different atmosphere after dark.

This ultimate dance entertainment, capable of blowing away the summer heat in an instant, truly reveals its magic when experienced in a blissfully soaked style.
Minion BOO-YA Block Party
The 1980s electro-pop tracks spun by DJ Stuart are a major highlight. As the fervor reaches a crescendo, the Minions burst off the stage to feverishly perform on specially constructed dance platforms. Caught up in their chaotic energy, it becomes a joyful space where everyone can dance the night away with smiles on their faces.
Summer Glow Moment
A must-see summer night spectacular set against the evening sky serves as a dramatic finale to the day. Beautiful music synchronizes flawlessly with multicolored pyro, brilliantly painting the night. During "Summer Night Street Action," dynamic acrobatics such as double dutch and BMX explode in succession amidst vivid neon lights, while Ernie and Bert showcase their astonishing, tightly synchronized skills.
Furthermore, "Summer Beat Splash" channels the passionate pulse of Africa and Brazil, blending powerful beats drummed on colorful buckets and rubber tubes with bursting water sprays to draw guests into an enthusiastic clapping jam session.
Finally, the six-member female dance troupe in "Summer Night Bubble Fantasy" orchestrates a romantic and dreamlike atmosphere as countless bubbles illuminated by colorful lights soar toward the night sky.
