The International tour of EVITA will perform in Japan at Tokyo's Theatre Orb from July 2 to July 8, 2018. The tour has also scheduled stops in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Sydney.

The original Broadway production of EVITA opened in September 1979 and closed in June of 1983. It was nominated for eleven Tony Awards in 1980, and won seven, including Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Book Of A Musical, Best Performance of a Leading Actress (Patti LuPone), Best Performance by a Featured Actor (Mandy Patinkin), Best Direction, and Best Lighting Design.

It was revived on Broadway in 2012 and received three Tony nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical, Best Choreography, and Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical (Michael Cerveris).

EVITA follows the life story of Eva Peron, an impoverished girl who, after the death of her father, travels to Buenos Aires where she meets soon to be President, Juan Peron. The show chronicles Eva's journey from poverty to power and fame, which inspires adoration from her people. With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, EVITA has become a Broadway classic with songs like "Don't Cry For Me Argentina," "Buenos Aires," and "Another Suitcase In Another Hall."

The tour is directed by Harold Prince, with the cast yet to be announced. More information on tour dates and tickets can be found here!
