Regarded as one of the best young choreographers in Cuba, Roclan Gonzalez Chavez has created Kings of Salsa to feature the very best of Havana's cool street salsa and hip hop scene seamlessly mixed with traditional Afro Caribbean moves, world class contemporary dance, and the Cuban classics, Mambo, Rumba, and Cha Cha Cha - all backed by the spectacular 9-pieces band Cuba Ashire, unleashing their Latin rhythms and stratospheric brass arrangement to showcase a slice of cool contemporary Cuba never seen before on stage!

He also co-created a show for Mexico in 1998 with Tomas Morales, director and choreographer of Tropicana, and toured Aruba co-directing a show with Tomas Morales in 2000. Chavez went on to tour with Lady Salsa as choreographer, actor, and singer and remains as one of the main choreographers for many of the young contemporary music shows in Cuba. For the last three years, Chavez has been the main choreographer of Cubadisco Festival Show, performed every year in Karl Marx.
