Artist Series Hosts Military Appreciation Night for WAR HORSE Tonight
Military service members and their families can purchase discounted WAR HORSE tickets through the Artist Series for tonight's performance. Military personnel are encouraged to wear their uniforms to this dedicated Military Appreciation Night.
Special Pricing for Military Appreciation Night is as follows: $27 B-Section Seating (Full Price: $62) and $22 C-Section Seating (Full Price: $52). Use the passcode HORSE* to receive military discount. Military discount is available at the Artist Series Box Office between 10AM-5PM,Monday-Friday at (904) 442-BWAY (2929) and online 24/7 at www.artistseriesjax.org. The deadline for military personnel and their families to order discounted tickets by phone is February 14 at 5PM and online is February 16 at midnight.
WAR HORSE is the powerful story of young Albert's beloved horse, Joey, who has been enlisted to fight for the English in World War I. Albert, not old enough to enlist, embarks on a treacherous mission to find his horse and bring him home. What follows is a remarkable tale of courage, loyalty and friendship, filled with stirring music and songs and told with the some of the most innovative stagecraft of our time.
At the heart of WAR HORSE are astonishing life-sized puppets created by SouthAfrica's Handspring Puppet Company that bring to life breathing, galloping, charging horses strong enough for men to ride.
