Steve Lippia is a singer's singer. He has quickly become one of this country's most prominent vocalists and interpreters of Classic pop music. His show is a rich, powerful celebration of some of the greatest music this country has known - The Great American Song Book. SIMPLY SINATRA will be at the Wilson Center for the Arts on Florida State College at Jacksonville's South Campus on Thursday, April 7th and Friday, April 8th, 2011 for two performances only!

With a hot, driving band behind him, Steve moves from crisp, popping swing tunes to lush, poignant ballads with equanimity. He possesses great stage presence - a charm and an ease that immediately endears audiences to him.

His natural sound and style is a remarkable combination of his own honest musical interpretation, combined with influences from some of the best singers of this era. It is immediately apparent that Steve's sound is reminiscent of a younger Sinatra, combined, perhaps, with that of Harry Connick, Jr. and Bobby Darin.

But it is clearly Steve who comes through. His singing reveals a man who truly understands a lyric, in a deeply personal way. Whether delivering a saloon tune at Birdland, the legendary New York City jazz club or headlining in major symphony halls, Steve Lippia brings to life the music and lyrics of some of the greats such as Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Sammy Cahn, Jimmy Van Heusen and Rodgers and Hart.

His repertoire includes such great standards as "I've Got You Under My Skin", "The Lady Is A Tramp", "Mack The Knife", "Summer Wind", "You Make Me Feel So Young", "That's Life", and "The Best Is Yet To Come". Steve's wonderful voice and great stage presence bring tremendous style, class and elegance to the stage and his main-room type show works extremely well for symphonies, corporate and private events, fine arts theatres, festivals and casino showrooms.

"Considerable vocal skills"; Drew a standing ovation"
Wall Street Journal

"He is there for the next two weeks, so stop what you're doing and head to the Hilton, because he's that good"
Phil Roura, New York Daily News

"Many have said it was the best POPS concert they had ever seen anywhere in the country"
Lisa Crawford
Executive Director Greensboro Symphony

"Visitors to Birdland, the famed New York City jazz club, couldn't quite believe their ears."; "A glorious experience"; "It's as timeless as a cocktail, a tuxedo or a diamond ring"; "His talent is so large"; "His contribution should refine a great tradition"
The Real Paper

"In my 20 years of conducting Pops concerts across the USA and also Europe, I have never seen an audience rise to their feet as fast as they did for Steve. He literally had the entire crowd 'eating out of the palm of his hand'."
Nicholas Palmer
Conductor for Owensboro Symphony, Altoona Symphony, Nashville Ballet
