VOCA PEOPLE Embarks on Israel Tour

A new tour in Israel for the ensemble that's taking over the global stage! The hit show VOCA PEOPLE returns for a new tour of 19 performances around Israel.

From creator and artistic director Lior Kalfon and musical director Shai Fishman comes a spectacular musical demonstration of the virtuosic use of the human voice with no musical instruments.

The show is gaining massive success worldwide, with over 2 million tickets sold around the world and a prestigious 2012 Lortel award for outstanding theatrical experience.

VOCA PEOPLE is a humouristic vocal theatre performance which combines acapella and modern beatbox emulating various musical instruments.

The ensemble performs new and surprising high-tempo vocal adaptations for well known hits of all times, from classical compositions, through oldies and cinematic scores to current hits. The arrangements are unique, harmonious, humorous and fascinatingly staged.

The show tells the story of 8 aliens from the planet Voca - a planet where music is the only form of communication. The aliens crash-land on earth and discover that their ship's battery is depleted. To refill the battery they require musical energy, which they gather by learning about earth's musical wealth with the help of a supportive audience.

Much of the show's success is attributed to its universal message of music as a bridge between cultures.

The show has been performed in over 35 countries, among them the US - New York Off Broadway, Brasil, Uruguai, Canada, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Estonia, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Holland, Germany, Hungary, Russia, Singapore, Hong-Kong, China, South Korea, the UK, Greece, Malta, and others.
