Annual Hebrew Book Week Returns to Israel

Israel's 56th annual Book Week will be held in Tel-Aviv (Rabin Square), Jerusalem (The First Station center at the site of the Old Train Station) and Rishon LeZion (Rothschild pedestrian mall) on June 7-17.

In addition to the wide range of books and the major discounts offered, the Book Week fairs will present a variety of cultural events for the whole family, including children's plays and youth's plays based on classic books, artwork activities, special readings and music performances.

In Tel Aviv, activities for children will be held at 18:00-20:00, with a different children's play by Orna Porat Children's Theater or by Theater in the Park which will begin at 18:40.
The plays presented will be:
June 7- The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse, Orna Porat Children's Theater.
June 8- Friends on a Bridge, Orna Porat Children's Theater.
June 11- Mr. Simon's Shoes, Orna Porat Children's Theater.
June 12- The Wizard of Oz, Theater in the Park.
June 13- Golden Shabbat, Orna Porat Children's Theater.
June 14- The Never Ending Treasure, Orna Porat Children's Theater.
June 15- Library Lion, Theater in the Park.

In Jerusalem, various plays for children will be presented by Small Chutzpah Theatre.
The Book Week activities in Rishon LeZion will take place from 17:30 to 20:00.
Special shows and events that will be presented are the music show "A Novel to the Jubilee, Singing S. Y. Agnon" on June 6, a meetup with writers Dorit Rabinyan and Gadi Taub on June 11, and a special evening with the greatest writers, artists and musicians on June 15.
For the young audience, a play will be presented each evening at 18:30.
Additionally, each evening from 20:30 until 22:00 musical shows will take place at the old city hall (24 Rothschild Street), among the performers are: Yuval Bilgorai, Gila and Eyal Cohen, Eli and Rinatya, and the municipal music conservatory's Jazz Band.
