Directed by Ellen Kent featuring the Celebrated Chisinau National Opera and National Philharmonic with International Guest soloists
Aida, the grandest of all Ellen Kent’s operas returns to Cork with a stunning, traditional brand new production of this magnificent story of war, jealousy and revenge, at whose heart is the doomed love of the beautiful Ethiopian slave girl, Aida, and the Egyptian hero, Radames.
Traditionally staged, this lavish production with amazing special effects includes spectacular ballet sequences, stunning sets inspired by the Valley of the Kings and costumes taken from designs found in tomb paintings.
Featuring the classic Triumphal March with an incredible pyrotechnic display using the most spectacular effects including a magnificent wall of fire inspired by Vulcan, the Lord of Fire, under whose temple that Radames and Aida met their death in an enclosed chamber – NOT TO BE MISSED!
