‘Spring Awakening’ is a rock musical that tells the story of teenagers discovering the inner and outer tumultuous emotions of teenage sexuality.
The musical follows the students as they navigate teenage self-discovery and coming of age anxiety in a powerful celebration of youth and rebellion.
Music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater. It is based on the German play Spring Awakening (1891) by Frank Wedekind.
