The 14-piece Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club make their eagerly awaited return to Europe in 2013. Their most influential style is the exuberant, polyrhythmic music known as son, which gave birth to both Mambo and Salsa. Their upbeat numbers are full of infectious tres and Cuban lute licks, multi-layered Afro Cuban rhythms, soaring vocal melodies, and brash, big band horn parts. Having honed their skills over many years their passion for the music remains undimmed and this remarkable group of musical giants performs with an exuberance that is as vital as ever.
