It's getting to be that time of year again - the days are getting longer; the nights are getting colder and you're inundated with a Christmas to-do list as long as your arm. It won't be long before everything in the house is dripping with tinsel and the pine needles are prickling your toes. Yes, Christmas is definitely just around the corner.

As festive fever begins to set in, Roscommon Arts Centre gets into the spirit by welcoming The Christmas Crooners to the stage on Friday 13th December. Ideal for the whole family, indulge in this warm night of nostalgia and let us set the scene for the Christmas period to help you on your way.

Christmas Crooners sees a fantastic cast of West-End singers, backed by the talented band The Jazz All-Stars, ready to inject you with a hearty dose of Christmas cheer as they perform over 30 of everyone's best loved Christmas hits as well as original swing arrangements of all your favourites.

Returning for role of Frank Sinatra, Ray Eves has toured Europe as 'Claude' in SCALA theatre's production of "Hair", 'El Gallo' in "The Fantastics" and 'Fred' in "Kiss me Kate". Duane Gooden also returns as Nat King Cole. This is the second time Duane will portray the role, having previously played Nat in "Secret Ribbons" with the Oxfordshire Theatre Company. Prior to this he toured in the UK playing the role of 'Andre' in "Ain't Misbehavin". Duane's television credits include; "Peak Practice", "The Jonathan Ross Show", "UK Food" for UKTV and "Crush" on Channel 4. New Zealander, Tim Benton makes up the trio as Bing Crosby. Tim has sung with New Zealand's national opera company and soloed with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra. In cabaret he has performed the Great American Songbook and Sondheim.

So as Christmas gets a little closer every day, despite our fighting against it, let Roscommon Arts Centre help you get in the mood as we roast chestnuts on an open fire and dream of a white Christmas, with this enchanting festive production. With a set designed to resemble the cosiest of homes - complete with a Christmas tree, rocking chair and crackling open fire - and a performance staged to the likes of the legendary Andy Williams Christmas Shows, this delightfully energetic, banter-infused production will leave you with a memory special enough to last the whole season.

A welcome respite from the cold that we guarantee will get you swinging into the holly jolly spirit.

Roscommon Arts Centre, Friday, 13th December at 8.00pm. Tickets are €22/€20 can be purchased through Roscommon Arts Centre's box office on 090 6625824 or online at www.roscommonartscentre.ie.
