Step aboard The Ark On Culture Night In Ireland Sept 24

The Ark, A Cultural Centre for Children is delighted to take part in Culture Night for the 5th year, opening its doors for an evening of art, music and fun.

Join artist Liz Smith in the studio space to explore the art of POP-UP. During this art workshop, children can discover how to construct impressive 3D pop-ups with impact and movement, by using a variety of papers, cards and creative techniques. Contact Box Office for times.

Make your way into the intimate theatre space of The Ark for THE CONCISE CONCERTS. Join Cormac de Barra (harp) and Sinead Madden (violin, viola, vocals), for 20 minutes of musical magic for all the family. Cormac is well known not only for his work with Irish musicians and singers such as Hazel O'Connor, Clannad and Moya Brennan but also as the presenter of Imeall on TG4. He will be joined by singer songwriter Sinead Madden who has worked with many well known names in Irish music including Glen Hansard, Moya Brennan, Clannad, Julie Feeney and Phil Coulter.

And that's not all... later in the evening, building tours will give visitors a sneak peak behind the scenes of The Ark's award-winning building.
