Roscommon Arts Centre Announces New Spring Line-up
Roscommon Arts Centre recently announced some exciting new events for Spring 2012 with more events being confirmed.
Highlights for the new season include Tommy Tiernan’s first visit to the arts centre on January 12th, followed by a performance by well-known Castlerea native Mary McDonnell in the heart-wrenching play Myra’s Story (Friday 20th January). Comedian Conal Gallen will return on Sat 25th February after a sell-out night of hilarious fun & entertainment this autumn and Roscommon Drama Festival 2012 welcomes performers from all over the country for nine nights of stellar theatre 2nd – 10th March.
Local director and film-maker Ronan Carley screens a world premier of his film-documentary Roscommon Revealed which showcases some of the best sights and characters from around the county in a free screening on Friday 10th February. Amateur drama lovers will be spoiled for choice with the All-Ireland Semi Finals of the Macra an Feirme Drama on Saturday 31st March & Sunday 1st April. Frankie Gavin & De Dannan will showcase their extraordinary talents for one night only on Friday 13th April.

Roscommon Arts Centre will be closed over the Christmas / New Year period. Tickets for spring events can still be purchased 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through their online sales service at www.roscommonartscentre.ie
