B*Spoke Theatre Company' Tour of THE SANCTUARY LAMP Moves to Everyman Palace, 4/12

THE SANCTUARY LAMP written and directed by Tom Murphy opened in Dublin in 2008 and following this hugely successful run b*spoke theatre company are delighted to announce that THE SANCTUARY LAMP (this time starring Kate Brennan, Declan Conlon, Bosco Hogan, Robert O'Mahoney) will move to its second venues on April 12th.

The production will open at the  Everyman Palace Theatre, Cork from 12th until 17th April and finally to the Civic Theatre, Dublin for its final performances from 19th until 24th April.

Three people locked in a Catholic Church for the night: An ex-circus strongman who prays to the Sanctuary Lamp for strength, a run-away waif haunted by her past and an Irish blackguard...
Tom Murphy directs this revival of his own play for b*spoke theatre company. Described by the Guardian as one of Irish Theatre's "proudest possessions", Murphy has been a major influence on a generation of Irish Theatre makers and his distinctive voice remains a major force in the contemporary repertory.

The Sunday Independent called it a, "Stunning revival" while the Irish Independent described it as, "Mesmeric."

The design for the production will be by Monica Frawley with lighting by Ben Ormerod.
