BWW Previews: Bandung Musical Community brings Broadway to Bandung with MIDNIGHT IN BROADWAY

This upcoming Saturday (14/4), Bandung Musical Community will premiere their first public musical revue titled Midnight in Broadway. Bandung Musical Community, often abbreviated as Bdgmusical, is a non-profit musical theater community based in Bandung, Indonesia.

Directed by Bdgmusical's founder Lawinda Cempaka, Midnight in Broadway tells the story of Tony, a young aspiring writer who seeks to pen a masterpiece that can finally convince his doubting family to accept the career he picked. As the clock ticks deeper into the night, he finds himself in the world of Broadway musicals -- each teaching him the struggle of carving one's own path in life.

The revue will exhibit iconic musical numbers intertwined with the original story, performed by a cast of musical enthusiasts from Bandung and beyond. The book is written by Prahariezka Arfienda and the choreography for the dance numbers is handled by Gilang M. Iqbal and Khalifatul Alghifari.

Furthermore, the show will also star local talent Ogie Novrian Z. and feature guest stars One Dance Academy and Rocket Crew. Live accompaniment will be provided by pianist Faisal Rahmat Permana, violinist Setiadi Hermawan, and percussionist Srikandi Herbatari.
