BWW Preview: SABDO PANDITO RAKJAT to close Heritage of Indonesia: Dari Warisan Menjadi Wawasan by Indonesia Kita

Indonesia Kita 2016's "Heritage of Indonesia: Dari Warisan Menjadi Wawasan" will be closed with their 22th Production, SABDO PANDITO RAKJAT in Graha Bhakti Budaya, December 2 and 3 2016, at 8PM.

SABDO PANDITO RAKJAT is the stage title to commemorate Ki Nartosabdo, karawitan and puppetry maestro. SABDO PANDITO RAKJAT is a play about human puppeteer who tried to be firm and critical of his surroundings. He wants to reform, while keeping his integrity for not following trend. He became an idea how to maintain sanity in the middle of the social and political uproar. Meanwhile, like in the story of Arjuna and Karna, he also had to be in the middle of disagreement. In the similarity of Arjuna and Karna's story and his inner struggle, should he take sides in a the conflict?

SABDO PANDITO RAKJAT will be staged in the signature concept of Indonesia Kita, directed by Sujiwo Tejo, creative by Butet Kartaredjasa, Agus Noor and Djaduk Ferianto. The play is supported by Sujiwo Tejo, Cak Lontong, Akbar, Didik Ninik Thowok, Happy Salma, Marwoto, Trio GAM (Gareng, Joned, Wisben), Butet Kartaredjasa, Sruti Respati, Bonita, Inayah Wahid, Gita Sinaga, Joe Kriwil. Music with the jazzy rearranged songs of Ki Nartosabdo by Bintang Indrianto and friends.
