Photo Flash: CALL ME BORICUA At The Phoenix Theatre

By:

Written by and starring Ricardo Melendez and presented by The Workshop Group, Call Me BORICUA! is Ricardo's tale of his travels from Puerto Rico to the continental United States. Equally hilarious and touching, this production allows Ricardo to shine as a storyteller and actor.

Call Me Boricua! tells the story of a native Puerto Rican who travels from Puerto Rico to the continental United States. Mr. Melendez chronicles his experiences with wit, charisma and a wonderful self-deprecating charm. Nothing is sacred in the retelling of this journey, including everything from the excitement and heartbreak of first love to auditioning for shows in New York City and not being Puerto Rican enough for West Side Story.

Special performance: Sunday, February 21 - 2:00 pm - in Spanish - FREE
