Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis to Open NNPN Rolling Premiere of Steven Dietz's RANCHO MIRAGE, 10/24

By: Oct. 21, 2013

Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis presents the National New Play Network ( NNPN ) Rolling World Premiere of Steven Dietz's Rancho Mirage. Opening October 24 , 2013 in the Frank and Katrina Basile Theatre at the Phoenix , this show runs through November 24 , 2013 and will be directed by Phoenix Theatre Producing Director Bryan Fonseca.

Written by one of America's most widelyproduced playwrights Steven Dietz , including Yankee Tavern - produced in 2010 by the Phoenix, Rancho Mirage began its Rolling World Premiere at Olney Theatre Center ( Olney, MD ), followed by New Rep ( Watertown, MA ), then at the Phoenix and ending at Curious Theatre ( Denver ).

Rancho Mirage is a bitingly funny black comedy about what happens when the fictions that hold our lives together are exposed . In Mr . Dietz's sharp and surprising sojourn into the psyche of 2013 America - where affluence is perhaps our greatest mirage - three couples , longtime friends , find themselves at a dinner party where everyone finally decides to tell the truth.
