Morris PAC Announces New Ticket Outlet at O'Brien Recreation Center

The Morris Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce the opening of a new Morris ticket outlet at the O'Brien Recreation Center, 321 East Walter Street, South Bend. The City of South Bend Parks and Recreation Department outlet location will sell tickets for all events to be held at The Morris Center including upcoming shows such as The Ultimate Doo-Wop Show, August 12; Sheryl Crow, August 17; George Thorogood August 19; Tommy James and the Shondells, September 9; Brian Regan September 29; Pretty Lights, October 5; and Straight No Chaser, October 28. The O'Brien Recreation Center will also sell tickets for all individual South Bend Symphony Orchestra concerts and Broadway Theatre League shows for the upcoming 2011/2012 season when tickets go on sale later this summer. Tickets are available for sale at the O'Brien Recreation Center Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

"The new ticket outlet at the O'Brien Recreation Center is a convenient location for people living, working and shopping on the south side of South Bend to purchase event tickets," commented Dennis Andres, Executive Director of the Morris Performing Arts Center.

Event tickets are also available from The Morris Box Office located at the theater at 211 South Michigan Street, downtown South Bend, or by phone at 574-235-9190 or 1-800-537-6415 Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at The Morris website at www.MorrisCenter.org. Tickets are also available from Morris ticket outlets at Hammes Bookstore & Café in Eddy Street Commons and Super Sounds Catalog Center located within TG Music, 123 South Main Street in Goshen.

Originally built in 1921, The Morris is listed in the National Historic Register and completed a restoration and renovation process in 2000 which restored the theater to its original vaudeville splendor. The Morris is the HOTTEST TICKET in Northwest Indiana for live entertainment! The theater hosts a wide variety of concerts, national Broadway touring musicals, symphony, dance, comedians, and is home to the South Bend Symphony Orchestra and Broadway Theatre League. The Morris has a seating capacity of 2,564 and is consistently ranked by Pollstar concert industry magazine among the top 100 theaters worldwide. The Morris was awarded a "Prime Site Award" by Facilities Magazine in 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, and 2006 (voted on by over 10,000 people in the entertainment industry - booking agents, promoters, talent buyers and special event planners.) The Morris has been voted the South Bend Tribune Readers Choice Award for "Favorite Entertainment/Live Performance Theater" for 9 consecutive years (2003-2011.)
