The Indiana Ballet Company presents Phantom of the Opera at the Madame Walker Theatre Center Friday, October 30, 2009 and Saturday, October 31, 2009.

More than just a simple love story, Phantom probes the deepest, darkest regions of the heart where lurks the most tender vulnerabilities, exquisite desires and searing scars which love drives each player to confront.

In this contemporary version of the 1912 novel, Alyona Yakovleva, IBC's founding artistic director, transcends cliches with original and electrifying choreography, ranging in style from classical ballet through contemporary and character. A seamless blending of diverse musical genres sweeps the narrative along with selections from Apocolyptica, Vanessa Mae, Shostakovich, Arvo Part, Carl Orff, Manuel De Falla, Chopin and Piazzolla.

On October 30, join the Indiana Ballet Company for dinner at Zing Restaurant before the performance. Following the evening performance on Oct. 31, join the cast at Zing for the most thrilling costume party in town, and help raise some spirits to celebrate the finale of the three-year Phantom phenomenon.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, teens and military and $15 for children.  Group discounts are available at $22 for groups of 10 or more.  A $40 dinner ticket includes dinner at 6:30 and a show ticket.

For tickets, call 317-228-1917 or purchase online at www.ticketweb.com.  Madame Walker Theatre Center is located at 617 Indiana Avenue, Indianapolis, IN, 46202.
