The first musical of Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre's 2015 Season is a fun-filled, energetic production by the Gershwin brothers, with rhythm that comes straight from the heart of musical theatre. Opening Feb. 12 is Crazy for You, the three-time Tony Award winning show that features spectacular songs, exhilirating dancing and a sweet story - who could ask for anything more?

Based on the 1930 musical Girl Crazy, the story centers around Bobby Child, who is sent to Nevada to foreclose on a theatre. But when he falls in love with Polly Baker, the local postmistress, he devises a plan to save the theatre. Winner of the 1992 Tony Award for Best Musical, songs include "I've Got Rhythm," "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "They Can't Take That Away From Me."

Blake Patrick Spellacy, seen at Beef & Boards during the 2014 Season as Skimbleshanks in CATS, as well as in the ensembles of Mary Poppins and Anything Goes, stars as Bobby Child. Carmel native Hillary Smith, most recently seen as Beverly in the Church Basement Ladies series, as well as Liesl in Beef & Boards' 2013 production of The Sound of Music, plays Polly Baker.

Eddie Curry and Jeff Stockberger, who just starred in the 2015 Season-opening production of The Odd Couple, return to the stage as Bela Zangler and Lank Hawkins, respectively. The cast also includes Vickie Cornelius Phipps as Lottie Child, Bob Payne as Everett Baker, and Erin Cohenour as Irene Roth. Others returning to the Beef & Boards stage for this production are: Lily Lewis, AnnaLee Traeger, Jennifer Ladner, Joan Heeringa, Doug King, Sam Weber, Kenny Shepard, Sam McKanney, Ian Frazier, John Vessels and Carol Worcell.

Crazy for You is on stage for 51 performances through April 4 in the intimate space of Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Tickets range from $40 to $65 and include Chef Odell Ward's dinner buffet, prepared in-house for each performance, and select beverages. Parking is always free.
