Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre will host a Musical Theatre Audition Workshop for actors age 17 and older starting Feb. 26.

The workshop, which meets twice a week until March 14 at the theatre, will be instructed by the Beef & Boards artistic team of Eddie Curry, casting director, and Terry Woods, musical director. The class will focus on preparation and execution of a good musical theatre audition. Each participant will be given the chance each week to work through their audition pieces with constructive instruction in a safe and positive atmosphere.

The class schedule is: Saturday, Feb. 26 from 1-3 p.m.; Monday, Feb. 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 5 from 1-3 p.m.; Monday, March 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 12 from 1-3 p.m.; Monday, March 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Cost is $325 per participant. A $100 deposit is required to reserve a spot in the class. To do so, contact Eddie Curry at BandBpro@aol.com. Participation is limited to the first nine people who reserve their spot in the class. This limited enrollment is designed to maximize individual instruction.

Eddie Curry is a 26-year veteran of musical theatre, including 21 seasons as a performer at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. He attends several auditions a year as casting director for the theatre, including auditions in New York City and Chicago.

Terry Woods has been musically directing shows for 33 years. He has lent his talents locally to Beef & Boards, the Indiana Repertory Theatre, the American Cabaret, Actors' Theatre of Indiana and Civic Theatre of Indianapolis. While living in New York, Terry assisted with classes at HB Studios, AMDA and several other NYC area schools. He has directed nationally at the Gateway Playhouse, Circa '21 Dinner Theatre and the Timberlake Playhouse.
