After the stupendous success of ‘Alex in Wonderland’, Alexander Babu is now producing, acting in and touring with this wonderful new show, NENC! Written and directed by film and theatre actor Vinodhini Vaidynathan, NENC is a double bill of two full-length Tamil plays, performed by the talented ensemble consisting of Aravinth Sundar, Baggy, Naresh D Raj, Shravan Ramakrishnan, Vatsan M Natarajan, Vikas M, and Vinodhini Vaidynathan.
Starting the evening will be Nagercoil Express which premiered at the lovely Short and Sweet Theatre festival back in 2014, winning Play of the Week and Best Script awards. In its latest version, it has emerged into a full-length play.
Nadaga Company, that was commissioned for and premiered at The Hindu Theatre Fest in 2015, received rave reviews. Inspired by Pammal Sambanda Mudaliar's short play, Oar Othigai (literally meaning "A Rehearsal"), Vinodhini transformed this into a 45-minute laugh-fest, including songs and dances from Therukkoothu, a call-back to a yesteryear film and a satirical take on today's cinema-crazy world.
NENC is sure to be a treat. Please note that the show is wholly in TAMIL and is STRICTLY 13+. Also, this is NOT a standup show but a Tamil theatre show.
