This play focuses on the weaknesses of the caste system that exists in our society. A man is put in the docks just because he is born to parents of a low caste. He is a recruit in the army and is being tried for murdering an Army officer and injuring another. An experienced colonel in the army is trying the case and during the trial, he comes to understand that the issues at stake are much more than meet the eyes. In the end, justice is done and the audience feels satisfied that all the characters of the play get their due.
