In a plantation house, a family celebrates the sixty-fifth birthday of big daddy. The mood is somber, despite the festivities. Greed, sins of the past and desperate, clawing hopes for the future spar with one another as the knowledge that big daddy is dying comes to light. Brick, the favorite son and wife maggie are having major issues. Swarming around are their intrusive, conniving relatives , all eager to see brick and maggie fall from grace. The ending is one not to be missed.
