A.D. Players, one of Houston's oldest and largest resident theater companies, is performing its final play, O LITTLE TOWN OF BAGELS, TEACAKES AND HAMBURGER BUNS, at its current home at Grace Theater before moving to a new, $18 million facility in early 2017. BAGELS was written by A. D. Players' founder and artistic director Jeannette Clift George in 1984, and has been performed multiple times based on popular demand.

"I'm delighted for A.D. Players to end our run at Grace Theater with a show so familiar and beloved by the company and by our loyal and loving Houston audience," said George. "We have so many fond memories on this stage that we've called home for the past 39 seasons. I encourage families to join us for one of our final performances, and make a new Christmas memory with your loved ones."

O LITTLE TOWN OF BAGELS, TEACAKES AND HAMBURGER BUNS is a heartwarming production filled with humor, surprising intrigue and tender romance. This thoughtful comedy -- part love story, part re-affirmation of faith -- explores the longings inherent in Christmas, and the joy it can inspire. The four resident company members in this show (Ric Hodgin, Patty Tuel Bailey, Christy Watkins and Craig Griffin) bring a combined 100 years of experience to their roles with A.D. Players.

The new Jeannette and L.M. George Theater will open its doors in February 2017 at 5420 Westheimer in Uptown Houston, when the A.D. Players launches its 50th anniversary season with TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.

Founded in 1967 by Jeannette Clift George, A.D. Players pioneered a unique style of theater committed to producing plays and programs that uphold human value, offer creativity, and promote literacy and education. The company is one of Houston's largest resident theater companies, impacting more than nine million people over its lifetime. Annually, the company produces six Mainstage shows and four Children's Theater performances, fields a National Touring Unit, and maintains a year-round Theater Arts Academy. AD Players is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.

O LITTLE TOWN OF BAGELS, TEACAKES AND HAMBURGER BUNS runs November 30 through December 23 at Grace Theater, 2710 West Alabama. For more information, call 713-526-2721 or visit adplayers.org.
