TUTS Announces Summer Musical Theatre Camps

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) is gearing up for an exciting summer of musical theatre camps at Humphreys School of Musical Theatre (HSMT) and The River Performing and Visual Arts Center (The River) beginning this June. During each weekly camp, TUTS educates and develops students of all ages and ambitions through musical theatre, enhancing campers' confidence, creativity and social skills in the process.

HSMT SUMMER CAMPS
HSMT, one of Houston's cultural gems that produces many of the best musical theatre professionals in the nation, offers musical theatre training through courses, workshops and seasonal camps in acting, dance and voice.

Musical Theatre Camp: Ages 4-6
Our weekly performing arts camps offer students the opportunity to learn, rehearse and showcase a mini-musical. New family-friendly material is selected each week, and a showcase is presented to family and friends at the end of each session.

• Weekly camps June 8 - August 3
• Monday - Thursday, 9:30 am - 12:00 pm with Thursday showcase at 11:45 am
• $130 per week plus a $15 enrollment fee per child
• Limit 20 students per class

Musical Theatre Camp: Ages 7-12
In our weeklong beginner musical theatre camps, students will sing, dance, act and write as a team to create their own theatrical masterpiece. At the end of each week, a showcase is presented to family and friends.

• Weekly camps June 8 - August 3
• Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (Monday - Thursday), 9:00 am - 12:00 pm (Friday) with Friday showcase at 11:45 am
• $335 per week plus a $15 enrollment fee per child
• Limit 40 students per class

THE RIVER SUMMER CAMPS
The River, a program of TUTS Education, provides an accessible, affordable fine arts education for individuals who have disabilities and their siblings.

Musical Theatre Camp: Ages 4-19
Each weekly summer camp offers students a creative outlet and opportunity to explore musical theatre lyrics and choreography, new instruments, art techniques, improvisation and more.

• Weekly camps June 15 - August 3
• Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 2:30 pm with Friday showcase at 12:30 pm
• $150 per week plus a $15 enrollment fee per child
• A registered nurse is on site throughout all summer camps
