SDI is taking a Steampunk style twist on Sondheim's rare, musical thriller. Sweeney Todd is a suspenseful, and at times humorous telling of the infamous tale of the murderous barber of Fleet Street in London. Sweeney Todd, the unjustly exiled barber, returns to London seeking revenge. His thirst for blood soon expands to include his unfortunate customers. And he is helped along his murderous way by the opportunistic pie-shop owner downstairs.
There will be a special "Pay What You Can" Performance on Thursday, July 18th at 8:00pm; donations of at least $5 are suggested.
