Scriptwriters/Houston Kicks Off 2014 10x10 Short Play Showcase Today

Scriptwriters/Houston invites you to experience a variety of theatrical experiences all in one night, on one stage. The 24th Annual 10x10 Showcase ten new short plays and nine monologues from a diverse array of Houston writers and directors.

Scriptwriters/Houston's 24th Annual 10x10 Showcase will take place at the historic Company OnStage for eight performances from August 7th throuh the 16th. The rich showcase is signature event for an organization that has provided the finest sampling of theatre works written by Houston-area playwrights, offering a true look and feel of what the Bayou City has to offer. This year's production brings together over 50 playwrights, directors, actors and other theatre professionals from across the city.

In addition to the ten featured short plays, the evening also features nine original monologues by Eric C. Jones, Steve Carpentier, Bebe Gow, Walter Boyd, Kris Thompson, Dennis Porsnuk, Devan Wade, Jane Keep and Stephen Stewart .
