STAGE TUBE: Meet the Cast of CCCT'S LEGALLY BLONDE

By: Sep. 14, 2015

Clear Creek Community Theatre (CCCT) kicks off its 51st season with the hilarious and heartwarming Broadway musical "Legally Blonde: The Musical" at CCCT Theatre (18091 Upper Bay Road Nassau Bay) now through Sunday, September 27.

Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the MGM motion picture, starring Reese Witherspoon, "Legally Blonde: The Musical" tells the story of California valley girl Elle Woods as she follows her boyfriend, Warner Huntington III, to Harvard Law School. There she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.

With music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, and book by Heather Hach, "Legally Blonde: The Musical" enjoyed a successful Broadway run, and continues to entertain audiences worldwide.

Steven Sarp and Hope Diamond are co-directing a cast of 21 actors and two dogs: Doogle, who plays Elle Woods' feisty and faithful companion, "Bruiser," and Ruby, who plays "Rufus."

According to Vincent Evangelista, who plays Warner Huntington III, "CCCT is the official theater organization of the NASA community in Houston. It's one of the foremost theater organizations in Houston that consistently produces quality seasons of plays and musicals--from the classics to the most contemporary."

He adds, "One of CCCT's founders and foremost actors was Joan Archer Aldrin, the late wife of Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin."

Presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI), "Legally Blonde: The Musical" runs until Sunday. September 27, with performances at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays.
