Revels Houston Hosts Final chorus Audition Date For The Christmas Revels

Revels Houston is holding its final chorus auditions in preparation for The Christmas Revels - A Bavarian Celebration of the Winter Solstice.

Final chorus auditions will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 26 at St. Anne Parish Hall, located at 2140 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77098.

Auditions are by appointment and are in 10 minute intervals scheduled strictly on a first come first served basis. Performers should email the date and time they would like to audition in advance, as well as a contact phone number to pcurtis@revelshouston.org. The email subject line should read "audition" and include the performer's first and last name. If the time selected is not available, performers will be placed in the next available spot.

Each audition will last for five to seven minutes, and performers will sing any song of their choice in the a cappella style. If a piano accompanist is required, performers should notify Revels Houston in advance.

Revels Houston interactive performances feature the song, dance, musical and storytelling traditions of diverse cultures. Each year's Christmas Revels production focuses on the music and traditions of a different culture.
The Christmas Revels chorus is a group of diverse performers from varied professions and backgrounds. Choristers rehearse Saturday mornings from early September through December 3, 2011. Performances begin the second weekend in December.
