The Texas Repertory Theatre Co., Houston's Uptown Classic Theatre, continues its 11th Anniversary "Emerging Visions" Season with a new staging of Shakespeare's classic romance Romeo & Juliet, playing Thursday through Sundays, January 28th through February 21st.

Celebrate the Valentine season with William Shakespeare's immortal portrait of true love. When feuding families attempt to separate our young hero & heroine, it sets the stage for one of the theatre's most enduring literary creations. The Bard's tale of star-crossed lovers has remained one of the greatest plays ever written, and The Texas Repertory Theatre's outstanding cast of actors and artists bring this familiar story to new life in a fresh and highly accessible production that makes Shakespeare's beautiful language both clearly understandable and undeniably moving.

The Texas Repertory Theatre production of Romeo & Juliet features Trace Pool, Susannah Eig, Lyndsay Sweeney, Ted Doolittle, and other Texas Repertory Theatre favorites under the direction of Scott Carr, director of The Texas Repertory productions of Blithe Spirit and It's a Wonderful Life.
