Indo-American Asssociation (IAA) presents BALLET ROMEO & JULIET IN KATHAK to Houston for the first time ever on Friday, July 22, 2016, 8 p.m. at the Wortham Center's Brown Theater. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the stars onstage below!

The immortal Shakespearean love saga Romeo & Juliet has stirred millions of hearts all over the world and has been performed in theater and dance forms by some of the greatest artistes. However, it has never been attempted in a classical Indian dance form.

Legendary Kathak dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj and BALLET ROMEO & JULIET IN KATHAK choreographer Guru Saswati Sen perform the story with 75 dancers as a stunning ninety minute ballet with all the original characters and ambience of Verona. The music is a soothing cross-cultural fusion of Indian Classical, Western Classical, and contemporary Jazz.

Tickets: $45, $60, $85, $125. Purchase online at iaahouston.com, or by phone at the Houston First Box office (832.487.7041); Group Discounts: 832.231.3086.
