Montana Repertory Theatre Celebrates 50th Anniversary with BAREFOOT IN THE PARK at The Grand

By: Jan. 31, 2017

The stage of The Grand 1894 Opera House is transformed into a cramped, sixth-floor walk-up apartment in New York's Greenwich Village for the delightful Neil Simon romantic comedy, Barefoot in the Park, performed by the Montana Repertory Theatre, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 8 pm. Tickets may be purchased at The Grand's Box Office,
2020 Postoffice Street, by calling 409.765.1894, 800.821.1894, or online at www.thegrand.com.

Presented by Montana Repertory Theatre as part of its 50th Anniversary season. Neil Simon's relationship comedy, Barefoot in the Park, explores the art of marital negotiation. Its plot provides a crash course in love, relationship, marriage, family, the pangs of loss, and the joy of reunion! The performance is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts and Texas Commission on the Arts.

Paul and Corie Bratter are two naïve twenty-something newlyweds. He's a "straight-laced lawyer, while his new wife is spontaneous and free-spirited. After a six-day honeymoon, the young couple begins their life together in a tiny, overpriced, six-flight walk-up with a lack of heat, a skylight that leaks snow, an oddball upstairs neighbor, a new job, and a visit from Corie's well-meaning but loopy mother.
