She's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Main Street Theater continues its 2015-2016 Theater for Youth season with the delightful antics of the much-beloved character Junie B. Jones.

Why is Junie B. such a favorite? "She is such a quirky, witty and honest little girl!" says MST Theater for Youth Producing Director Vivienne M. St. John. "Junie really wants to be good and do the right thing, but she always seems to land herself in to trouble. Kids love her because they can relate to her -- they understand the things she says, like when someone tells her, 'Watch yourself, missy' -- and she's straightforwardly replies, 'Missy's my name when I'm in trouble.' (from Junie B.Jones -- Stupid Smelly Bus). Adults relate to her because while some of the things she says can be trying, she reminds them of the children in their lives. Junie brings a chuckle and a smile to all who read her stories or see her live on our stage!"

The silly and sassy Junie B. returns to Main Street Theater in a new adaptation from Barbara Park's best-selling books. This time she is facing first grade: new glasses? new best friend? Join us for more of Junie's exciting and crazy adventures! Recommended for Kindergarten and up. Children under the age of 3 (including sleeping babies) are not allowed in the theater.

Returning to Main Street is Caroline Menefee who has played Junie for MST in Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business and Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells! The rest of the cast includes Brittny Bush, Chioke Coreathers, Haley Hussey, Sarah Konkel, Scott Lupton, Shanae'a Moore, and Ryan Patrick Smith.

Meghan Hakes Booth is the director and choreographer. Glenn Sharp is the musical director. The design team includes Torsten Louis (set design), David Gipson (lighting design), Macy Lyne (costume design), Shawn W. St. John (sound design), and Bryce Grace Burton (properties design). Danielle Docwra is the Production Stage Manager.

Adapted from the book series by Barbara Park, Junie B. Jones: The Musical will play Sundays, March 6 & 13 at 1pm and 4pm; Saturdays, March 19 - April 2 at 1pm and 4pm; and Friday, March 25 at 10:30am; and during spring break - Monday - Friday, March 14 - 18 at 10:30am.

Children can bring their own copy of the book or purchase it at a discount at Blue Willow (located at 14532 Memorial Drive (at Dairy Ashford)).
