Following a sold-out extended run of its inaugural production, Hune Company presents it second show in the 2015 Living Room Series, THIS IS OUR YOUTH. Houston theatre veteran Chesley Krohn directs this play written by Kenneth Lonergan.

The cast includes Matt Hune, Mark Ivy, and Julia Krohn. THIS IS OUR YOUTH begins performances on September 17, 2015, in the Living Room, 1210 Stanford Street in Montrose.

Set in New York in 1982, THIS IS OUR YOUTH follows forty-eight hours in the lives of three very lost young souls: Warren, who has just stolen $15,000 from his abusive, tycoon father; Dennis, his charismatic drug-dealing friend who helps Warren put the stolen money to good use; and, Jessica, the anxiously insightful young woman who Warren yearns for. Funny, painful and compassionate, Hune Company's production of THIS IS OUR YOUTH draws strong parallels between today's young adults and the youth of the Regan-era. THIS IS OUR YOUTH is a living snapshot of the moment when many young people go out into the world on their own, armed only with the ideas and techniques they developed as teenagers-far more sophisticated than their parents realize, and far less effectual than they themselves can possibly imagine.

The production is the second in the Living Room Series - a season of four plays in a Montrose living room that has been converted into a small theater. Each night only twenty audience members will fill the seats in the intimate space.

"This series aims to keep budgets low, space small, and imaginations large," said Artistic Director Matt Hune. "Some of Houston's most innovative and talented artists are set to be part of this series. It's a chance for people to experience a new kind of theater that is imaginative and extremely intimate."

The production opens Thursday September 17, 2015, at 7:30 p.m., and runs through October 3, 2015. Please note our curtain times: all performances run Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. as well as Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.

The ticket price is $28 for general admission seating and $20 for students. Price includes free beer, wine, and other beverages. Tickets are available online at www.hunecompany.com and at the door. The box-office phone number is 713-344-1291 and is open on show days two hours before curtain time.

Hune Company is a theatrical production company based in Houston that develops expansive productions that explore the inherent poignancy of live performance.
