Houston Chamber Choir Announces Honorees For ALL THAT JAZZ Gala 3/18 Houston Chamber Choir has announced that the honorees for its 2018 gala All That Jazz are long-time benefactors Sally Anderson Clark and Michael Clark. This year's event will be held at the JW Marriott Downtown on Mar. 18, from 7 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Sally was a devoted Houston Chamber Choir board member for six years, ending her term in 2017. She has had a love of music, including jazz, since childhood and has been an enthusiastic long-time member of the South Main Baptist Church choir. The Clarks attended their first Chamber Choir concert at Christmas in the early 2000s, before the holiday concert was moved to Villa de Matel. Their support of the organization grew over the years, and they have generously underwritten Miller Outdoor Theater concerts by Houston Chamber Choir which are free to the public.

Gala co-chairs are Dr. Ishwaria Subbiah and Dr. Vivek Subbiah, both prominent Houston physicians who are passionate supporters of Houston Chamber Choir, along with several other arts organizations and charitable causes. The evening will include a wine reception, lavishly appointed silent auction, elegant dinner and live jazz performances by the Houston Chamber Choir and famed jazz pianist, Paul English.

"We are incredibly excited to honor Sally and Michael Clark, who give generously of their time and resources on behalf of Houston Chamber Choir," says Managing Director Mariam Khalili. "All That Jazz will be a memorable evening acknowledging our generous donors and spotlighting the tremendous talent of the Houston Chamber Choir. Our co-chairs, the Subbiahs, along with their committee, have been hard at work planning what is sure to be an entertaining and memorable affair."

Master of Ceremonies for the evening's activities is St. John Flynn, respected music expert and former program director and on-air talent for KUHA-FM, the classical station of Houston Public Media. Flynn is known for his extensive knowledge of classical music, engaging and witty stage presence, and is a beloved Houston icon.

Funds raised for All That Jazz will support the programming of the Houston Chamber Choir for the upcoming season, ensuring that the organization's artistic excellence continues. Sponsorships for the gala are available at these levels: Big Band, $10,000; Swing, $8000; Ragtime, $5000; Dixieland, $2500; and Bebop single tickets for $250 each.
