From the director and producers of "Soul Surfer," "Hoovey" shares the inspirational story based on real-life events of Eric "Hoovey" Elliott, son of retired firefighter, Jeff Elliott.

"Hoovey" was the winner of the 2014 Best Feature Film at L.A. Sunscreen Film Festival and awarded 5 out of 5 Doves from the Dove Foundation for Family Movies.

All films at the Texas Christian Film Festival are free to attend.

"Hoovey" stars include Patrick Warburton ("Emperor's New Groove," "Men in Black II") who depicts Jeff Elliott, Hoovey's father; Charlie Robinson ("Night Court," Beowulf), who portrays the basketball coach; and Cody Linley ("Hannah Montana").

Jeff Elliott, the real life father of Hoovey, will attend the 2015 Texas Christian Film Festival and participate in a post-screening Q&A.

"Hoovey" is the true and inspiring story of the Elliott family, who refused to surrender, instead turning to one another and their faith in the worst of circumstances, to rebuild their lives, their boy, and their dreams... together. Step by grueling step, with faith, love, and the tireless work of a mother and father to save their family, their farm, their dream, Hoovey learns to walk again. To read again. To dribble and shoot a basketball again. And to dream again himself. Then stepping out in his faith, back onto the hard court, to live that dream of playing this game once more...

"Hoovey" is the first film produced entirely by EchoLight Studios, a faith and family film company led by CEO Rick Santorum.

"Hoovey" will be screened February 21 at 8:00 PM following the screening of "Mom's Night Out" at Bethany Christian Church.
