Grammy Winner Cythia Clawson to Spend New Year's Eve with Texas Repertory Theatre Co.

The Texas Repertory Theatre Co., Houston's Uptown Classic Theatre, is thrilled to present a special New Year's Eve event featuring Grammy & Dove Award winning recording artist Cynthia Clawson, with two performances, at 4pm and 8pm.

Referred to by many as the "singer's singer", and called "the most awesome voice in gospel music" by Billboard Magazine, Cynthia Clawson has received a Grammy and five Dove awards for her work as a songwriter, vocal artist, and musician. Her recording of the gospel classic Softly and Tenderly was recently featured in the major motion picture The Trip to Bountiful, introducing an entirely new generation to Cynthia's artistry as a singer.

In the intimate confines of The Texas repertory Theatre, Cynthia celebrates the new year with an absolutely joyous collection of spiritual and secular musical gems, Broadway show-stoppers, and anecdotes from her illustrious career, making this evening truly a once in a lifetime musical event.
