On Sunday, February 3, 2013, Girls Only - The Secret Comedy of Women will conclude its record-breaking five-month engagement of 99 performances at Houston's Main Street Theater - Chelsea Market.

Presented by I W Marks Jewelers, "Girls Only" opened to a sold-out house on September 6, 2012. The hit comedy is the longest-running show currently playing in Houston.

"There are limited tickets still available," said co-producer Sydney Greenblatt. "We're coming down to crunch time now, thousands of tickets are already sold for these final weeks and one performance is already sold out - so we anticipate that "Girls Only" will close with a big bang and a big office, just the way it opened," she said.

The show, an original hit comedy based in part on the authors' childhood diaries, has already broken the all-time box office record for Houston's Main Street Theater after smashing engagements in Denver, Minneapolis, Charlotte and Pittsburgh.

Houston actresses Tracy Ahern and Keri Henson starred in the production throughout its run, backed by understudies Karen Schlag and Kara Greenberg, both of whom stepped in as needed.

Ahern remembers her most memorable "Girls Only" experience. "After the show one night, I visited in the lobby with one woman, a widow; it was the fourth anniversary of her husband's death. She hugged me tightly and said, 'This is the first anniversary that I haven't been sad. It feels so good to be out laughing with friends.' That was a special moment," said Ahern

Henson recalls a theater-goer telling her after a show, "That's the hardest I've laughed in my adult lifetime!" "This show brought a lot of laughter to a lot of women, and that makes me feel wonderful," said Henson.
