EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL Ushers In Halloween At Obsidian Theater

Obsidian Theater ushers in Halloween with the campy, bloody musical, Evil Dead: The Musical. This outrageously, wicked musical runs September 27 - October 27 and will include two late night shows with blood splash zone and an after-show Halloween party.

Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It's all up to Ash (a housewares employee turned demon-killing hero) and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. Blood flies. Limbs are dismembered. Demons tell bad jokes ... and all to music. Written by George Reinblatt with music by Frank Cipolla, Christopher Bond, Melissa Morris and George Reinblatt this irreverent musical is sure to be a good time for all.

The cast of singing zombies and a few humans includes; Elizabeth Tinder (Linda), Cortney Hafner (Cheryl), Kiara Steelhammer (Shelly), James Duncan (Ash), Caleb Wyrick (Scott), Brian Chambers (Ed), Charisse Shields (Annie), Tom Stell (Jake), JT Fischer (Ensemble), Nolan LeGault (Ensemble) and Jeffrey Stallings (Ensemble). Obsidian Theater Artistic Director, Tom Stell and Kelsey McMillan direct this gory, good time. The rest of the team, bringing Evil Dead to life are; Eduardo Guzman (Music Director), Sara Denton (Stage Manager), Zoe Casseday (Assistant Stage Manager), Caitlin Dean (Set Designer), Allen Titel (Light Designer), Caroline Harrell (Costume Designer), Jarred Popoff (Sound Designer), Chloe Westfall (Props/Scenic Painter), and Caitlin Casellie (Special Effects).

Performances of Evil Dead: The Musical are September 27 - October 27, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm. Industry Night will on Monday, October 15 at 8 pm with discounted tickets available for those who work in the industry. Special late-night shows will be Saturday October 6 & 20 at 11:30 p.m. These late-night shows will include a whole theater blood splash zone.
