COMPANY Opens March 14th at the Texas Repertory Theatre
The Texas Rep Theatre Co., Houston's Uptown Classic Theatre, presents Stephen Sondheim's Company in a new production, set to open on March 14th, and running through April 7th.
The innovative show that changed musical theatre forever, COMPANY is Stephen Sondheim's brilliant look into the lives of a five married, once married, or soon to be married couples and their mutual friend, Robert, a 35 year old bachelor who has been unable to connect in a long-term relationship. This landmark musical follows the characters through a minefield of modern relationships, emerging with the realization that while relationships aren't perfect, they are a necessary part of "Being Alive." An honest, witty, sophisticated look at relationships, COMPANY is as contemporary and relevant as ever, and features a brilliant, energetic score containing many of Stephen Sondheim's best-known songs. (including "Another Hundred People," "The Ladies Who Lunch" and "Being Alive").
Performing in its 8th anniversary season, The Texas Repertory Theatre Co. has become one of Houston's premiere theatrical venues, and continues to offer year-round seasons of plays and musicals to the deserving audiences of NW Houston.
