Manoa Valley Theatre continues its 49th season with the flamboyantly funny comedy and Hawaii premiere of "The Legend of Georgia McBride" November 9 - 26, 2017. This is the story of Elvis impersonator, Casey, who's young and broke. His landlord is knocking at the door, and he's just found out his wife is going to have a baby. To make matters even more desperate, Casey is fired from his gig as an Elvis impersonator in a run-down, small-town Florida bar. When the bar owner brings in a B-level drag show to replace his act, Casey finds that he's going to have to adapt to a whole new show business like none he's ever known as he trades one sequined outfit for another and genderbends into a drag show headliner.

Guest director of the production is Alexander Munro. Assistants to the director are Nathaniel Niemi and Annie Malady. Choreographer is Nathaniel Niemi. Set design is by Jim Corry. Sound design is by Jason Taglianetti. Lighting design is by Christina Sutrov. Costume design is by Jim Corry. Props design is by Sara Ward. Hair and make-up design is by Lisa Ponce de Leon.
