Donate to The Public Theatre - Maine in Maine

We opened this season on Oct 24 with William Goldman’s adaptation of Misery by Stephen King. Over 4,000 people came to the show and we are on track for a record number of Subscribers to our 25-26 Season.  In addition to providing affordable entertainment to the people of Maine – we have patrons come from across the state and beyond – we pride ourselves in being one of the first live theater experiences for thousands of school children.

Your tax-deductible donation this Giving Tuesday helps us to keep our ticket prices low (Adult tickets are $35) and allows us to provide steeply discounted Student Matinee ($7) and Youth Tickets ($15) to our youngest audience members as well as FREE Workshops and other FREE collaborations to keep the Arts alive in our schools.

Donations of any size are greatly appreciated.  We hope you will make a one-time or recurring gift to support The Public Theatre this season.

For over 30 years, The Public Theatre has produced high quality professional theatre that has become integral to the lifeblood of our community. We believe theatre is for everyone and strive to create inspiring, entertaining, and inclusive experiences that celebrate our shared humanity. We tell stories that speak from the heart; that are life-affirming and uplifting even when the subject matter is challenging; that invite our audience to see their world in a new way. We are committed to engaging and enriching the communities we serve and inspiring children with our educational programs. Artistic excellence is central to the mission of The Public Theatre.
