Ballet Preljocaj at Opera Garnier

Often invited to sign creations or set the entry to the directory of his works by the Ballet of the Opera, Angelin Preljocaj returns this season with his own company. The Ballet Preljocaj brings together for the first time two pieces of his repertoire built on the Karlheinz Stockhausen musical creations, also paying tribute to the composer. For SA, created in 2001, the choreographer is confronted with the partition d' Helikopter Quartet. Choreographed to the unbridled energy, Preljocaj declines the movement of the propellers, multipliantelancements, body rotation and arm movements. Echoing the Sonntags-Abschied, light and heavenly music, evokes the choreographer to the body in a lost paradise quest. Eldorado, created in 2007, is an intimate and sensual ballet, in which dancers, crossed by the music, are the rhythms of the score. Two landmark works of great artists of the current choreographic landscape for which dance is a cradle of inspiration.
