GREASE gets French twist at Théâtre Mogador A new, French spin on the classic American musical GREASE is running at Théâtre Mogador from May 25 to July 8.

Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance. When Sandy realizes that Danny is embarrassed of her as the girl next door, both go to extreme lengths to change themselves for each other, in order to find true love.

This production of GREASE is performed entirely in French, with English surtitles. The Parisian production has added their specific French humor and expertise to make this typically American show as unique as it is widely cherished, with many of the original songs in both English and in French.
